By burying a storage tank in the garden, rainwater can be collected via the downpipes. After filtering, this water is usable for irrigation, toilet, washing machine and — with the right filtering — even as drinking water.
With the right multi-stage filtering (sediment, activated carbon, UV sterilisation, reverse osmosis), rainwater can reach drinking-water quality. We only carry this out in compliance with the Drinking Water Decree, with annual service.
For a family of four with around 80 m² of roof, 4,000–6,000 litres is ideal. For larger homes, heavier use or drinking-water applications we scale up to 10,000 litres or more. During the consultation we calculate the right size.
A standard installation — digging, placing, connecting and testing — usually takes 2 to 4 working days. Drinking-water systems or off-the-grid applications may take longer. You receive a clear schedule in advance.
For most harvesting systems for personal use no permit is required, provided the installation complies with the Drinking Water Decree. We arrange the complete compliance and supply documentation on delivery.
Collecting rainwater relieves the pressure on the sewer system and helps prevent flooding. Water authorities greatly appreciate it when you collect rainwater in your own garden for reuse.
Very little. For a standard catchment system, one service visit per year suffices: filter replacement and inspection. For drinking-water systems the frequency is slightly higher. Our service team takes care of this for you.
